But you must know for sure that he didn’t become the CEO of apple just waiting at home instead he worked hard for it. In life it’s possible to achieve anything if you work hard for it. To achieve it you need to set goals and the goals should be realistic too.
First of all what is a Goal?
Goal is something which you intend to achieve and it can be either a need or a want and the main purpose of a goal is to give yourself an opportunity to attain your dreams.
Some tips to set goals
1) Prioritize your goals and pick up on an important one
Prioritize your goals by rating them from 1 to 10 from 1 being the most important and 10 being least important. Then once you have set the goals you can go through the list to see which goal is important and which is not and cut off the least important goals.
2) Classify your goals
Once you have written down your goals, you know the goals which you need to achieve. Then those goals can be further broken down into 3 more categories which are Long Term goals, Short Term Goals and Immediate Goals. Long term goals are planned to be achieved within 2, 5 or 10 years. Your goals for the next 3 to 9 months can be categorized as short term goals and those which are to be achieved within 30 days from now or even tomorrow are categorized as immediate goals.
3) Positive Motivation
After sometime of trying, you might feel that achieving the goal is impossible and it’s the hardest thing you had to encounter but, this must not stop you from achieving your goal. You always need positive motivation. One of the most important tools which drive you to achieve your goal is self motivation.
4) Changing Habits and behaviors
Sometimes your goals which have been set cannot be achieved because of your habits. So in order to achieve your goals, for example giving up on habits which have the strongest negative impact on your goal , or what things in your life style simply drain you from achieving what you need for instance something like watching too much of TV. So changing these habits will help you achieve the goal you set.
